Model comparisons
nutribullet Ultra Plus+ 2-in-1 versus 3-in-1
The nutribullet Ultra Plus+ NB20550ID 2-in-1 and NB50550AKID 3-in-1 share a 1200-watt base and a two-cup food-processor attachment, but the box contents are different. Treat the exact U.S. SKU as part of the comparison: the extra function in the 3-in-1 package is a separate coffee-and-spice grinder attachment, not a larger processor bowl.
What stays the same
Both exact product pages list the small processor bowl, a chopping blade and a reversible Slice/Shred Disc, plus personal blending vessels. The processor guide linked from the 2-in-1 page is the same Ultra Plus+ attachment guide used for the processor pieces in the 3-in-1 system. It requires the ingredients to stay below the MAX line and does not provide food-specific batch limits or an ordinary motor run/rest ceiling. Do not read the 30-second automated cycle or the post-overload cool-down instruction as a general duty specification.
What changes
NB20550ID is the personal-blender-plus-processor package. Its U.S. listing does not include a coffee/spice grinder cup or flat grinder blade. NB50550AKID adds that separate grinder to the same broad combination. Both still require switching attachments on one motor base, and neither grinder cup nor personal cup enlarges the two-cup work bowl. A strict need for a larger processor capacity should lead away from both packages rather than toward the 3-in-1 version.
Which route fits?
- Choose the 2-in-1 if you want personal blending and small-batch chopping, slicing or shredding, but have no need for the included coffee/spice grinder. Check stock separately; an availability badge does not change the exact model identity. Read the NB20550ID review.
- Choose the 3-in-1 only if its grinder attachment will also earn storage and cleanup space. It remains a two-cup processor, not an upgrade in batch size. Read the NB50550AKID review.
- Choose a processor-first alternative if you need a larger bowl or a task-specific tool. The 5½-cup Limitless and 7-cup Triple Prep packages each make different compromises; consult their individual guides for batch limits and included attachments.
Compare the exact package list and manual before deciding. A motor wattage or a personal cup count cannot substitute for a processor-bowl capacity, a named disc, a documented dough tool or a task-specific batch maximum.
