Package comparison
Ninja PREPi PN301, PN301B1 and PN351 compared
The three current PREPi packages share a 5-cup and 7-cup bowl system, matching storage lids, a crinkle-cut disc, a reversible slice/shred disc and a chop/purée blade. The meaningful difference is whether a dicing kit is included and which exact bundle/finish code is on the listing. A “6-in-1” heading is not enough to tell whether the processor itself is a new base model or a package built from a familiar base plus an attachment.
Start with the exact code
- PN301 is the base Midnight Blue + Mango package. The itemized box lists the two bowls and lids, crinkle disc, reversible slice/shred disc and chop/purée blade; it does not list the dicing kit.
- PN301B1 is the blue bundle package. Its page identifies the processor inside the bundle as PN301 and separately names the PREPi dicing kit. Keep both the bundle code and the base code in your records if you are checking a replacement, retailer listing or order confirmation.
- PN351 is the Copper + Teal dicing-equipped configuration. Its own itemized “In the Box” list includes the dicing kit with the shared PREPi components.
In practice, PN301B1 and PN351 are the options to compare when grid dicing needs to work out of the box. PN301 may make sense if you want the compact bowls and cut discs but do not plan to dice. Ninja sells a dicing accessory separately for the base PN301, but adding an accessory changes the package you are buying; do not assume it is included just because a retailer uses a family image or “PREPi” headline.
The bowls are two sizes, not two duplicates
The exact product pages rate one bowl at 5 cups and the other at 7 cups. Each has its own listed storage lid and spindle. The second bowl creates a useful prep/store choice—use one for work and the other for a separate batch or for holding prepared food—but it is not an identical seven-cup spare. Seven cups is the largest published bowl rating across the three configurations. If your essential single-batch need is 8 cups or more, choose a larger processor with a documented task ceiling rather than assuming the PREPi bowl will stretch to your recipe.
That volume distinction should also shape how you read product comparisons. A second bowl does not double the machine’s one-batch capacity, and a lid does not show that a bowl is safe for every storage temperature or transport condition. Ninja describes serving, refrigeration and taking food on the go; exact manual guidance for filling, handling and washing should be checked with the instructions that ship with the specific unit.
What the dicing claim does not answer
The manufacturer identifies a dicing kit in PN301B1 and PN351, and promotes quick dicing. That does not document a millimeter cube dimension, establish how a specific vegetable will cut, or provide an independent speed test. None of the reviewed PREPi product pages states the kit’s exact grid size. If your routine simply needs a dicer, the included-package difference is clear. If an 8-, 12- or 16-millimeter cut is mandatory, the size remains unverified and should not be inferred from a product photo or function count.
Fit, functions and evidence limits
All three product pages list the same published body dimensions: 9.3 inches long by 9.3 inches wide by 10 inches high, 12.69 pounds, 120 volts, 500 watts, a 31.5-inch cord and a one-year limited warranty. Those published numbers do not answer what the largest safe ingredient is or how much of a particular food can be processed at once. The page calls the chute a three-part feed chute but does not define its maximum opening. Nor does the family page establish shred thickness, slice adjustment, continuous motor-on time, dough capacity or task-specific maximum quantities.
The official Ninja food-processor comparison display uses a general dishwasher-safe label for PREPi, while the exact PN351 support link did not provide an accessible instruction booklet during this review. That leaves top-rack use and care of each individual removable part, especially the dicing grid, unverified. If a precise wash instruction or duty-cycle limit is central to your purchase, treat that as an unresolved manual question rather than extrapolating from the generic category card.
A quick choice
Choose PN301 for the base tools and two lidded bowls without paying for an included dicer. Choose PN301B1 if you want those core parts plus a dicing kit in the blue bundle. Choose PN351 if you prefer the Copper + Teal finish with a dicing kit directly itemized in that configuration. Choose a larger machine when the deciding factor is a single batch beyond seven cups, or a task-specific limit that PREPi’s available documentation does not establish. Then confirm the exact suffix on the listing before ordering.
